    Lomaiviticins A and B, potent antitumor antibiotics from Micromonospora lomaivitiensis

    A bacteria Micromonospora lomaivitiensis, living on sea squirts, produces a previously unidentified compounds, lomaiviticin A and B. These compounds have anti-cancer activity and also act as antibiotics against Staphylococcus aureus.
